Pauli had accepted an invitation to work with Bohr in Copenhagen and wrote two papers on the AZE, neither of which satisfied him. During this stay in 1922 and 1923, he was often depressed and agitated by his lack of progress with this problem. One day, a colleague met Pauli strolling aimlessly in the beautiful streets of Copenhagen . . .
